Rain

Well, it turns out my axle didn't need to be replaced... along with the rotors (which I replaced twice) and brakes. So now I spent money on four different things I didn't need and three of those are in my car. But now, I need to replace the tie rod. Before, Tom said I had to replace the ball joint AND the tie rod, but luckily Steve's dad talked to me in time before I did that. All I have to do is the tie rod.

Cars are so freaking confusing.

Sunday night I took Steve home and we layed out in the middle of a field on a blanket and just watched the stars. It was amazing : )) I saw two shooting stars and he saw one.

Walking to class today it was raining and i was listening to Mistakes We Knew We Were Making by Mae and I just couldn't stop smiling. It amazing how much of a difference you see in peoples faces when you smile at them in the rain : )

Until next time,
Ramie

College Life

Things have been going a little better around here. I still miss home a ton and I'm going home nearly every weekend. But things just come up and they're things that I need to be there for. But hey, I'm not complaining! I love going home. Grace and I bought fishies. They are betas; Esteban (mine) is blue and Sushi Saki (hers) is red. We went to Meijer last night to go grocery shopping and I applied there. I doubt I will get the job though.

On a downside, Stanley is having some trouble. The front axle is shot and I need to get a new one : (( Luckily Steve's dad is a licensed mechanic and he's going to fix him for me for cheaper than going to a shop. I really hate cars. But I didn't have any problems up until this, so I guess he's doing better than my last car. So now, I'm stuck here at college relying on other people : ( I hate that feeling.

Last weekend I got my hair done by Kimberlee Morici and it looks amazing. It's black and blue : )) I wanted it to be blond instead of black, but that would have fried my hair like no other, so that will have to be for another time.

Well, that's it for now. I will try to write more often than I have been.

Ugh...

Man, I really didn't think it would be this hard transitioning into college life. It's extremely lonely here. All my roommates but one left for the weekend and the one that is here is always gone. She's from Malaysia, so it makes me feel stupid that I'm more homesick than her, but I am.

On the upside, my roommate is pretty sweet and my dad and Peg visited me today and brought me stuff. I really miss my family. I think it was easier at camp because I wasn't like, going off on my own really. Now I know that I'm starting my own life here and I'm not a kid anymore. I can't go back to how things used to be... jeez, I'm making myself cry... that's how freaking pathetic I am.

People go so far away from home for college, I can't even handle 3 hours : (

The Springs

Work at The Springs has been pretty amazing so far. The staff is awesome and there is never a dull moment. We've already made so many memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. I do miss home though. It's really hard to live somewhere completely different from that of where you've been living all 18 years of your life with different people... I get to go home more often than some of the other staff that live farther away, and for that I am thankful.

Well, tell me what's been going on in your lives... I may not reply right away, but I will eventually!

An Update on Ramie

Since I haven't posted in forever, and I have some time on my hands (not really though, since I have to write a 5 page book report about I book I haven't read and two 2 page essays by monday) I decided to tell everyone who cares to know what's going on in the world of Ramie.

First of all, Seniors only have 5 days left. My open house is May 19th from 2-6 at the VFW Hall in Farwell if anyone cares to go. In all reality, I'm way excited, but I'm sad too. This is the last week I'm probably ever going to see most of my friends and it's the last week I will ever be in high school. It's weird. I'm leaving the little town I've lived in my entire life and heading for the real world. Scared, apprehensive, excited, sad, worried those are just a few words to explain how I feel right now.

Prom is only 7 days away. I got my dress, but it's short : ( I could find no other dresses that I liked that were full length. It seems now all people want are short dresses, it makes me sad... it is cute though. I'm wearing red shoes and ribbon because Trent got a red vest and tie. Speaking of Trent, today we would be dating for 1 year if I hadn't went and broke up with him twice : S

Anyway, I went on my first ride of the year last Sunday and it was really nice. Spirit acted like she was tired, but once everyone started running, she was leaving the other horses in the dust : ) that's what I love about her.

My mom got a new kitten about a week ago. Her name is Leia, as in Princess Leia, and she's tiger striped. She's so cute because one second she's calm and the next she's running from one end of the house to the other at full speed. Tiny doesn't really like her, but the cat gives her some company during the day while everyone's gone.

In about a month, I'm going to be leaving my hometown and living at the Springs all summer. I really cannot wait for that. Even though I'm going to miss everyone terribly, I think it will be a great experience.

My brother and his girlfriend are pregnant with a little boy named Bryce James. We had the baby shower for them about a 2 weeks ago and she looks like she's going to go into labor at any minute! They also got a new little puppy and her name is Layla. Sounds sort of familiar...

I turned 18 on April 23rd so I can officially vote! I got a lot of neat things from everyone, but my favorite thing will be what my mom and I are going to get soon : ) My mom is getting a tattoo of an angel on her ankle in memory of her daughter Alissa and I am getting 2 Timothy 1: 3-7 in Hebrew on the side of my foot. I think it's a good spot for it because I can cover it up if I want to or need to.

Anyway, that's pretty much all that has been going on in my life. Nothing too exciting.

Ramie
